Bitcoin traded around $82,500 to $82,700 as of about 10:15 AM ET on Friday, according to CoinLore and Investing.com live pages, after trading around $82,000 to $82,600 earlier in the morning (CoinDesk, Investing.com, CoinCodex, crypto.news). It touched roughly $80,300 to $80,400 on Thursday and was about 4% lower on the week.
What moved it
CoinDesk and crypto.news tied the steadier tone to President Trump saying there would be no strike on Iran before the November 3 midterms, which eased fears of a new oil shock. Investing.com pointed to pressure from higher bond yields. For Thursday's slide and the liquidations that came with it, see Chain, Crude & Chips: October 8.
