Crude: oil eases after Trump rules out an Iran strike
Oil dipped on Friday after Thursday's surge. As of about 10:15 AM ET, Brent was around $102.8 to $103 a barrel, down about 1% to 1.4% on the day, according to The National and the Economic Times; WTI was about $90. AFP and CoinDesk both tied the easing to President Trump saying there would be no strike on Iran before the November 3 midterms. For the surge itself, see our oil story.
Chain: bitcoin holds near $82,000
As of about 10:15 AM ET bitcoin traded around $82,500 to $82,700 (CoinLore, Investing.com), after touching roughly $80,300 on Thursday, and was about 4% lower on the week (CoinDesk, Investing.com, CoinCodex, crypto.news). Levels are approximate. Full story.
