US stocks were little changed at the open on Monday. Sharecast had Dow and S&P 500 futures slightly higher and Nasdaq-100 futures slightly lower before the bell, while Business Upturn put the S&P 500 up 0.06%, the Dow up 0.40% and the Nasdaq Composite down 0.22% in early trade.

What is driving it

Oil is firmer after an early dip. Sharecast reports Brent was up about 0.9% near $105.66 and WTI up about 1% near $92.74 before the open, after prices briefly fell and then reversed on Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy's comment that Russia had violated President Trump's "energy ceasefire." Wall Street is coming off a winning week: the Dow and S&P 500 each posted their second weekly gain in three weeks and the Nasdaq Composite its fourth straight, CNBC says. Bank earnings start Tuesday, and Wednesday's consumer price index is the week's main data release; see our week-ahead story. No major economic reports were scheduled for Monday (Sharecast).
